The iBook's clamshell design is completely free of latches, doors, or flaps(not even a close latch), so there is nothing to jam, snap or break off. Equally brilliant was the addition of a flip-up carrying handle that's integrated right into the case design, so it's easy to pick the iBook up and tote it around.
