The DC-in Board has direct contact to the power adapter and is plugged onto the Logicboard. If you have a loose connection the solder joints on the DC in Board may be broken and easily be repaired. Follow this Link. But a short circuit fault may do harm to electronic components (as to be seen in the picture), if you have bad luck the whole logicboard might be damaged. In some cases you only have to replace the DC-in Board.
