The Second Edition models were presented at the Apple Expo 2000 in Paris.
The advantages in detail:
- Processor clock 366Mhz and 466Mhz, modified IBM PowerPC 750cx processor, with lower power consumption (4 watts instead of 7 watts) with 256 KB level 2 (L2) cache that ran as fast as the CPU
- ATA 66 instead of ATA 33 controller with higher data throughput
- 8MB instead of 4MB graphics, DVD films can be played back
- Larger hard disk 10 GB instead of 6 or 3.2 GB
- Video out (composite) connection for PAL or NTSC
- Firewire port
- DVD drive (only 466 Mhz models)
