Sex and the City: Backup ?
If you have seen "Sex and the City", you have probably noticed that the clamshell iBook sometimes is to seen as a "supporting act". Here a clip taken from Season 4 Episode 8 (or Episode 56 in total) "My Motherboard, My Self". Carrie Bradshaws beloved black PowerBook freezes and all data seems to be lost.
Her boyfriend Aiden surprises her with a new indigo iBook and a zip drive for backups. It has a beautiful handle and looks like a purse ! Carrie is still irritated about the loss of her PowerBook and rejects his presents (later on he gives her back the keys to her appartment, they fall apart). The technician in the Apple Store notifys her that nearly all data was lost and advised her to backup.
Say hello to iBook
<< Say hello to iBook>> was a successful advertising slogan in print and television ads. A 4-sided iBook booklet in letter format showed the Clamshell in front and rear view. When opened, the beautiful screen and keyboard showed up. Click: A larger version of the picture. Sorry, my scanner didn't get the full size, a small part is missing.
Video: Macintosh Power of Two
