What I needed was a machine that could handle word processing, Internet access, and play games on the go. Most of all, I wanted a machine that would compliment my desktop machine. The iBook fit the bill almost perfectly: its price was decent (if a bit high), it had solid construction, and the 300 MHz G3 processor was exactly what I needed for the tasks I had in mind. Its good looks were just icing on the cake!

Joy of Tech: iBook Clamshell Comics





For serveral years we've enjoyed the Joy of Tech Comics by Snaggy (Bruce Evans) and Nitrozac (Liza Schmalcel). Nitrozac loves the Clamshell iBook , in her words: still the best design ever.

Spoof: iToilet

iToilet was a spoof advert written by Stephen Murray in March 2002, targetting at the coloured iMac and iBook models. It was also a parody of Apple's persuasive advertising. But nevertheless nicknames like toilet seat contributed to the reputation of the distinctive and unforgettable design.

Non Apple: iRoom Commercial

No official Apple video, but one of my favorite ... The operating system seems to be MacOS 8.
